Robert C. Wilkerson, Ph.D.
Dr. Robert C. Wilkinson is Director of the Water Policy Program at the Bren School of Environmental Science and Management at the University of California, Santa Barbara, and he is a Lecturer in the Environmental Studies Program at UCSB. Dr. Wilkinson’s teaching, research, and consulting focus on water policy, energy, climate change, and environmental policy issues. Dr. Wilkinson is also a Senior Fellow with the Rocky Mountain Institute.
Dr. Wilkinson advises businesses, government agencies, and non-governmental organizations on water policy, climate research, and environmental policy issues. He serves on the Task Force on Water and Energy Technology for the California Climate Action Team and as an advisor to state agencies including the California Energy Commission, the California State Water Resources Control Board, the Department of Water Resources, and others on water, energy, and climate issues. He served on the advisory committee for California’s 2005 State Water Plan, and he represented the University of California on the Governor’s Task Force on Desalination. Dr. Wilkinson advises various federal agencies including the, US DOE National Renewable Energy Laboratory and the US EPA on water and climate research, and he served as coordinator for the climate impacts assessment of the California Region for the US Global Change Research Program and the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy.
In 1990, Dr. Wilkinson established and directed the Graduate Program in Environmental Science and Policy at the Central European University based in Budapest, Hungary. He has worked extensively in Western Europe, every country of Central Europe from Albania through the Baltic States, and throughout the former Soviet Union including Siberia and Central Asia. He has also worked in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Japan, South Africa, and China.
Jill Dumain
Jill Dumain attended the University of California at Davis and majored in Textiles and Clothing. The studies at Davis included textile science, marketing and production courses. Upon graduation, she began working in the Fabric Laboratory at Patagonia testing and analyzing the technical fabrics in the line. Two years later, she moved into Fabric Development to work on the development of Patagonia's natural fiber fabrics.
This is the position that has led into the environmental emphasis of her job especially the organic cotton project which she has continued to lead since 1994. From 1997-2003, she held the position Director of Fabric Development overseeing all material development for the company. She was promoted to Director of Environmental Analysis in 2003 and helped lead the development of the Common Threads Garment Recycling Program and The Footprint Chronicles website.
Jill was elected as Chair of the Board of the Organic Exchange in September 2006 and continues this post. Throughout her tenure at Patagonia, she has traveled extensively through Asia, Europe and the United States.
Eduardo Schmidt
Eduardo Schmidt initially began working as a sales representative for L & E International, Ltd. since 1996. During this time, he managed the operations in Brazil and South America. Eduardo has acquired a large amount of printing and paper packaging experience and his main background is in the shoe industry. He is extremely comfortable with the entire process of shoe manufacturing, and has attended many domestic and international fairs, which includes Europe and Asia.
Eduardo graduated in Law School, and has been practicing the profession strictly for the business and its managing process. He specializes in International Law, Business Law and Customs Law, where he acquired a long experience during the process of working for L & E. Currently, Eduardo is the Project Manager for L & E in New York. He is responsible for the execution and link of the various projects derived from sales to production.

Major Research Field and Publications: To actively work for environmental friendly manufacturing of the Tanning industry by adoption most advanced technology and equipment of Clean production, which with basic guidance on energy - conservation and Pollution reduction.
In November, 2006 Schneider initiated the foundation of the FTC (Foreign Tanners of China). Its mission is to actively work for the environmental friendly manufacturing of the Tanning industry by adopting most advanced technology and equipment of Clean production.
Ernst Ulrich von Weizsäcker
Ernst Ulrich von Weizsäcker was born 1939, 1972 Professor of Biology, University of Essen; 1975 President, University of Kassel; 1981 Director at the UN Centre for Science and Technology for Development, New York; 1984 Director, Institute for European Environmental Policy, Bonn-London-Paris; 1991: President, Wuppertal Institute for Climate, Environment, Energy; 1998: Member of the German Parliament (SPD), Chairman, Select Committee on Globalization, later Environment Committee; Since 2006: Dean, Donald Bren School of Environmental Science and Management, UC Santa Barbara, USA. 2007 – Co-Chair, International Panel on Sustainable Resource Use. 2008 – Co-Chair, China Council Task Force on Economic Instruments for the Environment. Jack Sahl
The director of Operations Support Environment & Resource Sustainability, Jack D. Sahl is responsible for coordination of SCE’s sustainability programs for internal operations. This includes activities related to energy and water efficiency at SCE facilities; increasing transportation and transport (and logistics) fuel efficiency; chemical management; reuse, recycle and waste management; and working to ensure product life-cycle performance that is integrated with the SCE Supply Chain. These initiatives are coordinated with the generation ‘Renewable Portfolio Standard’ and customer Demand Side Management and Energy Efficiency programs.
Sahl joined SCE in 2002 as the manager of Environment, Health & Safety within SCE’s Transmission and Distribution Business Unit, responsible for safety and environmental programs, EMF issues management; the Prevention and Root Cause Analysis. Sahl serves on the advisory committee for the EPRI Occupational Health & Safety research section, NIOSH National Occupational Research Sector Council and the World Health Organization EMF program.
A former research scientist and founder of a consulting company, Sahl has 35 published scientific reports and has worked in Canada, Europe, Australia and Japan. Sahl earned a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from the University of La Verne and holds master’s degrees in epidemiology and environmental health from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), and the University of Minnesota, respectively. He earned a doctorate in epidemiology from UCLA.
